When initiating a clean up pass, nice edition to the 3d slice but but but, i would suggest that there be two categories if clean up.
- Clean the path your cutting ok we have that
- Do Full Clean, just cleaning where your going to cut next is usefull but not so much for preventing slag build up on the 2.5d your working on. To minimise Post Processing. I would rather be able to set a full clean to minimise cleaning at the end.
I think people would support this particularly galvo users. Theres nothing worse that watching the muck being welded on layer by layer while the new cutting path is clean.
The focus for cleaning should be the model, i dont think this should be difficult to implement. LB when slicing a coin can simply template the diameter of the circle or shape and run a full clean at specified layers.
Something you can already do manually when you’re doing anything else other than a 3d slice.
Have a look at the photo whats being cut doesnt really need a cleaning pass by the model being revealed does. I have air blowing directly on the job its of little help where a cleaning pass would work miracles.
