Cloudray CO2 laser tube

Hi all.
My reci w4 tube failed after only 5 months (internal sparking, no beam). I’ve been using lasers for 6 years, so I know the drill, but cloudray is flat-out lying to avoid the warranty.
They claim I fired the laser without a chiller. This is impossible—I have a ruida controller with Water Protection enabled, and I sent them photos of the WP light being ON during the test. The laser cannot fire without flow, but they are ignoring the technical proof.
They stalled for two weeks until I hit the 180-day mark on my payment protection. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to get them to actually honor the 10-month warranty when they just ignore the facts?

It sounds very sad and I wouldn’t expect it from a company like Cloudray. The fact that the topic is shown/discussed here in the LightBurn forum costs Cloudray much more than the one measly tube.

It is the legally required 2 year product warranty, I think, which applies to all products sold in the EU, which prevents Cloudray from selling their machines/spare parts directly through their own dealers in Europe.
That is probably also one of the reasons why some countries can sell their products at a cheaper price than others that have to provide this warranty. (…and people like me, still buy  )

Unfortunately, since I’m based in the USA (Illinois), I don’t fall under the EU’s 2-year protection, and cloudray seems to be taking full advantage of that.
To make matters worse, PayPal just denied my dispute because I filed it a few days past their 180 day window. I spent the last two weeks trying to resolve this directly with cloudray support in good faith, and it feels like they intentionally stalled their replies just to run out the clock on my buyer protection. It’s a shame because I’ve always thought they were a reliable brand. I’m currently escalating this with my bank, but let this be a warning to others about how they handle warranty claims

You have my sympathy and I am shocked by Cloudways’ handling of your issue.

This is really good to know. I’m still in the early planning stage of building a diy C02 laser. I was all but sure I was going to buy the tube and some other parts from Cloudray. Not any more.

Lightobject is my go to for laser stuff in the US. Price is about equal with the absurd amount of shipping cloudray charges.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll take a look at them.

I just ordered the tube from them. Thanks!
