I have a 100W CO2 Ruida controller laser. I updated my version of Lightburn today and also worked on determining the minimum power of my laser. After I made these adjustments, my laser is no longer engraving dark. If at engrave at 20% or 70%, it is the same intensity of darkness. When I was determining the minimum power, I was using the Ruida control panel to make the power adjustments. I’m not sure what is wrong.
I know it is not the tube or power supply. I was using the laser earlier today before updating Lightburn or determining the minimum power, and this issue was not happening.
You need to tell us what you changed in the controller.
Also check your start speed and compare it to your actual speed… This usually occurs during slow engravings or cuts.
Do you have a voltmeter… we can check the signal between the Ruida and the lps rather easily.
Issue resolved. It was a little out of alignment.
