my com port busy and I have the green bar. I have restarted the computer and even reinstalled LB. I have a Sculpfun S10 running on microsoft 10
Please Help
Make sure you don’t have ‘Auto-home on Startup’ enabled in your ‘Device Settings’, if your machine does not have limit switches (I do not believe the S10 does).
If it’s definitely not enabled but you’re still seeing the same issue, please share a screenshot of what you see in your ‘Console’ window when you connect.
The auto home was checked. I unchecked it and it is not busy now. Now the laser will nor fire.
Thank you for your fast support
Excellent, we’ve made progress.
When you say the laser isn’t firing, are you not seeing it light up at all, or is it lighting up but not marking the surface of your material? What power and speed (including units) is your job set to? Is your laser focused properly?
Make sure your S-value max in LightBurn matches the $30 setting in your machine’s firmware, and make sure you are not commanding your laser to run faster than the maximum allowable speed set in your firmware, as this will lead to power downscaling.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to set up your S10 with LightBurn and recommended settings: Setting up the software - Diode Laser Wiki
