Is there a command to make the laser stop burning the current layer, e.g., C00, because it’s already burned through, and go to the next layer, e.g., C01?

Not that I’ve seen.
The quickest way to do what you’re asking may be to stop the job. Rehome the machine. Turn off the ‘Output’ switch on the troubling Layer and restart your job.
The Job should start at the next layer unless there are some Cut Optimization Settings saying otherwise. To check, click the Optimization Settings button in the Laser Window.
