Out of curiosity, does Lightburn have the ability to work with a CNC milling machine? The one that I am looking at does support grbl. The machine is basic and beginner in nature.
LightBurn does not support milling operations. We’re actually writing another application for this, but it’s not ready yet.
Edit: To clarify, yes, LightBurn will control a CNC machine that uses GRBL, Smoothieware, or Marlin firmware, but it will only do so for laser operations, not CNC milling ops.
I use Lightburn with my Shapeoko Pro XXL machine. It too is a GRBL controlled machine. My laser is a J-Tech 4.2 laser. I got video instructions on how to install on J-tech Photonics website, for my specific machine.
