Compatible design software

I have not yet received my Creality Falcon2 40W engraver, but I’m kind of wondering, if I can use Autodesk Revit or Autocad to create the designs that I want to import into Lightburn. I have been doing Architectural design for 20+ years, and I am going to be retiring soon, but I would like to be able to continue with my skills using Autocad software. Thanks All

Sure!

Export your designs as DXF files, import into LightBurn, put the shapes on LightBurn layers as needed, assign cutting / engraving parameters to those layers, then Fire. The. Laser.

LightBurn can automagically put shapes on layers by color, so if you color the shapes according to what you want done, LightBurn can simplify that step.

I have trouble distinguishing all the subtle colors, so I tend to use only a few colors (and, thus, layers), as I described in an earlier discussion.

Protip: Use the Material Library to organize all the cutting parameters for the materials you use, so you can assign them to layers by name.

Welcome aboard!
