Compound Path Issue

Hi all,

I am getting to grips with LightBurn and use Illustrator to create my artwork. I so far have managed to get around the issue of not seemingly being able to print vectors containing compound paths by releasing them and using the divide tool on pathfinder to then delete the internal shapes. This is fine for most of my work, however, if I am using a more complex design, this really isn’t a viable option (for instance, if doing an image trace of a photograph). Can somebody please let me know if there is an easier way around this than what I am currently doing?

Thanks in advance
Alex

Hi Alex - I’m not sure I understand what you mean, because LightBurn handles compound paths just fine. Can you show a screen shot example of what you’re seeing?

Alternately, you can email a file to support at lightburnsoftware dot com, and include a link to this thread so I know what it’s referring to, and I can take a look at how the file is built and probably offer better suggestions.
