Config file for Daja A8 engraver

Just got the Daja A8, but need the config file.
The booklet that came with it says it should be named A8_config.lbdev
It was supposed to be supplied by Daja, but was not on the flash drive, and reaching out to them so far has not yielded results (they sent me every file possible except this one).

Any help here would be superfly.

None of my 3 different Sculpfun lasers use a config file. Maybe you can set it up without one, at least to get you started.

Having an .LBDEV device profile is nice, but Mike is correct, it may not be needed in the case of the Daja A8.

See if the correct settings can be read from the controller by using the “Find My Laser” feature:

I guess I should be more specific in my issue. You are correct, Lightburn did find my laser ok (
Daja A8), but in the software, my camera is not showing in the camera tab. I also checked my Device Manager, and not seeing it there either.

I guess this is probably more a driver issue then? So I should be asking does anyone have the driver file for the Daja A8.

Side note, it did come with a driver install option on the flash drive, but it errors out with a libwdi install failed error. I looked it up, I see thats a windows usb driver package, and downloaded it separately, but so far have been unable to get past this. The engraver installs ok with just windows, and is totally usable, just can’t seem to get the camera going.

I reached out to Daja, and they did respond, and sent a software package, but it did not include the driver install, so will reach back to them and make sure they understand what I am needing.

Good to hear that you added the laser.
Can you also control the machine and did initial test work for a simple engraving?

For most lasers, the camera needs to be connected separately. So far, I couldn’t find a manual or pictures confirming this for the Daja A8, but do you have a separate USB port on the laser that could be used for the camera?

Most of these USB cameras don’t require any drivers. If you can show us a screenshot of the files on the flash drive, We may be able to see what these drivers are intended for.

@Aaron.F is right. Get the laser running smoothly and not worry about the camera for now. Just because it has a camera does not mean you have to use it. I have 3 different machines and none have a camera. I use Absolute Coords and have managed quite well without the camera.
