I have a built a laser machine but struggling to configure the Z axis. In the photo the bed is at the highest setting and has a reading of 3,000mm. I can’t find any setting in the controller or lightburn to edit this?
If i set a maxium depth of 300mm and move it on the controller it will go to 3,300mm

Does your Z axis have a limit switch?
On my machine, with a ruida 644x, the z value resets to 0 when it reaches the z limit switch.

3000 is the default. I would think it ‘doesn’t know it has a z axis’ by the display. If the Ruida fails to home, it will be set at MAX.
Do you have the Z axis limits enabled in the controller?
This is mine, but the Z axis is disabled…
I would think ‘Enable Homing’ should be enabled on that axis.
