Connecting issues

hi i cant connect my algolaser mk2 20w to my computer and make it work i already tried changing COM and i found one thats says ready but in console it says Waiting for connection… i tried unpluging everything and double checking physical connections also restarting. When i plug the usb cable to my computer it makes sounds like its connected. I tried also disebling usb saver
i have Windows 11, version 25H2 and LightBurn-v2.0.05 please help :frowning:

The ready means nothing as far as connected. I have nothing connected to my Lightburn in the house and it shows ready. Have you tried all the com options? When you go into device manager and ports does it change when you plug and unplug laser?

Is this a new laser?

yes i tried all the coms options and when i went to device manager in other devices in changed when i unpluuged it
image
and when i pluged in it it showed this
no its not new laser i have it for few months now so i know how to deal with connections issues as its not my first time but this time i cant figure it out

What does it say on the Ports line in Device Manager?

On one of the ports you should see "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMx)
Do you have the CH340 driver installed?

Did you successfully install the driver and reboot Windows?

It will not appear until you plug in the laser.

From what I know, you need to install the CH340 driver to establish communication between the PC and the machine.
The driver is easy to find through a Google search.

i made it work  thank you a lot for your help guys

Can you share with us the trick?

Is there a Windows update to install? If so update and see what happe. I encountered issues and

If There is a windows update it is probably interfering with LB. Try updating.

Note that LightBurn will let only one instance connect to the device at a time. If you have multiple instances, close all but one.

Also, you may have USB issues. Get USBdeviceVIEW from NirSoft.net. I will help you locate issues!
