Connecting Snapmaker A350 40W Laser to Lightburn

I have been struggling with getting Lightburn version 2.0.05 with the Snapmaker 2.0 A350 using 40W laser, FW version V1.20.3_20240716 (all show as current) to work properly. I am able to connect but there are some issues with positioning. I noticed that when connecting that the console reports two errors:
echo: Unknown Command: “$I” and Unknown Command: $“#”

I am able to move the laser, fire it and most of the functions but the positioning isn’t working quite right. When I press the Get Position button the X, Y, and Z positions always return 0’s., Viewing the console, the Unknown command “?”.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

I forgot to mention that I am using Snapmaker-2.0-40W-V1.lbdev for the connection.

Either your controller [1] is not a GRBL controller, [2] you have not selected GRBL as the Device Type, or [3] your GRBL controller does not report the parameters on command (some do not).

Do you get a filled table when viewing the Machine Settings window?

Did you check this?

In your first image, it appears Lightburn and the controller ARE talking back and forth, like you said in your first posting.The controller is saying “Unknown…” and “ok”. Lightburn is just reporting it.

Have you tried turning DTR in the Basic Settings tab on?
