Connecting to Wifi GRBL

Im using the two trees GRBL machine. Connecting via USB works but the wifi connection option doesnt appear in the connection dropdown. Is is because I havent purchased a license version yet?

No, the trial is fully functional, just limited by time. I don’t have WiFi as a standard connection method to a GRBL device either. It may not be an option with lightburn, or you may have to install the laser using the provided .lbdev file to make it an option. I don’t know.

No, LightBurn does not differentiate between test and purchased version, all functions are fully usable. But I doubt that wifi/wlan of your machine is supported in LB.

Not all machines are supported over Wifi but you may try the setup below.

See the wifi setup here: GRBL Network Connection Setup - LightBurn Documentation

Download a WiFi Analyzer to your phone or tablet. Then watch those signal strengths jump up and down. Is that what you want your feed to the laser to do while you are burning a project?

Either USB or Ethernet works best, WiFi poorly.
