I am new to Lightburn but very computer literate. Been using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for many years. I have recently purchased the Atomstack A20 Pro with B1 cover and F2 plate. Running on an iMac 24" Sonoma 14.5 OS 16GB. Running the system for a few days without issues. Until today. CONNECTION LOST MEANS YOUR USB CONNECTION WAS DROPPED. Using the A20 with the controller seems ok. Ran the dog cut out a few times. No problem. I have done all the usual checks. Tried different USB cables. Reinstalled the Atomstack A20 in Lightburn Running the latest update. I also have the programme on my Macbook Pro. Without the latest update. Same thing happens. CONNECTION LOST. Thinking of reinstalling Lightburn??? Any help suggestions would be greatly MacBook appreciated. Regards Scorpius.
Reinstalling rarely fixes anything. Many Mac users have found that they need to go through a “dumb” USB 2.0 hub to connnect their laser. Something about the way Mac interprets the USB 2 to USB 3.
Many thanks Tim for your reply. Much appreciated. Been using Mac for years but never come across the “dumb”. USB 2 but will certainly check it out. Be interesting to hear if any Mac users on the forum have experienced same issue. Kind regards Roy
