I am running an iMac on Monterey and trying to get connected with my xTool D1. It works on Laserbox basic.
When I try in Lightburn it says “ready” in the laser panel but I get no movement. I have loaded the xTool_D1.lbdev and the information seems to be there.
Thanks
Have you updated to the latest firmware? Only recent firmware support LightBurn.
Yes, I updated the firmware through Laserbox to a version that ends with b1. I’m not near the laser to verify the full version. I also have downloaded: D1_firmware_V1.1.0B3_20211124.bin but haven’t figured out how to force it to the laser.
I am running Lightburn 1.0.06.
Thanks
Just to confirm, are you connecting through USB? If not, you must be.
Yes, USB connection.
When you have a chance to connect to the laser take a full screenshot of LightBurn with the Laser window showing. Make sure that a port is showing in the pulldown between the Devices and Laser name controls.
Note that the field between Devices and your device name is showing Bluetooth. Can you pull that down and choose a USB connection?
If one doesn’t exist that means a USB serial device has not been detected or you are missing the USB serial driver.
Were you connecting to Laserbox Basic using USB or wireless?

Troubleshooting guide for xTool D1 – xtool
It’s actually a fairly common gotcha on Mac because the bluetooth is always present while USB is only present when plugged in. LightBurn will default to the last used connection but this only works if the laser is on and connected before you start LightBurn.
Thanks again.
