I recently got a new laptop and I cannot get it to connect to the laser. I have a Monport 80 watt CO2. The USB port got damaged on the laser, so I connect thru an ethernet cord. The new laptop does not have a port so I use an adapter. I have made sure to install the needed drivers and still nothing. HELP ![]()
There is usually a short jumper from the cabinet to the controller. I hope it wasn’t damaged at the controller end?
Are you using the Lightburn bridge?
If you can get on-line with your computer, just put your laser on-line. The Ruida isn’t really designed to work with a system that requires DHCP, or the router giving out addresses. The Ruida is ip address is static.
Nevertheless, it should be relatively simple to just plug it into your router.

This might be a new rabbit hole, but you can tell your router to designate the laser I.P. address as a fixed one and to ignore it in the DHCP assignments.
