Console window in LightBurn says "waiting for connection"

I have an AtomStack Hurricane Co2 55W and the Console Window in LightBurn says “waiting for connection”. My laser is connected but not the Console Window. I’m brand new to this, can anyone tell me how I can get it to connect (in laymans terms please)? Thank you.

Hi Heather,

First, make sure, the laser is turned on and the emergency switch is not pressed. (Twist it clock-wise to see if it pops out.)

Make sure to use the included USB cable to connect your computer.

If you are on Windows, you need to install the USB drivers. I found this link in the Manual of Atomstack’s Software: https://asa.atomstack.com/downloadWindowsDrivers.do3

Download this ZIP file and open it. Run the SETUP.exe and click on “Install”

Make sure, no other program is trying to access the laser and restart LightBurn. Then manually select the correct COM port for your laser from the drop-down menu in the Laser window (see below).

You should see a response in your ‘Console’ window when you’ve selected the correct port.

Also, if you’re using any USB hubs or extenders, try remove them from the connection path - they are known to cause issues with laser connections.

Please let us know how it goes!
