Is continuous framing no longer supported for Xtool D1 Pro..
If I switch to a different device like GRBL this option appears.
I don’t have this option in my device settings for Xtool, It does show up if I change to GRBL device
Thanks
I didn’t quite understand, but please clarify.
Does this happen when you switch to GRBL device under “Devices” in the “Laser” window?
I’m not very knowledgeable on the subject, but if that’s the case, I’d say you need to install the laser machine properly.
The xTool D1 pro is not running GRBL, but a compatibility layer over their proprietary firmware.
@Kuth We made this special “xTool” device type, which bypasses this compatibility layer.
It is recommended to use this for the D1, D1 Pro and S1.
For reference: Setting up xTool S1 with new xTool device type in LB 1.7 and Beyond
I can confirm, that Continous Framing for the xTool device type is also missing on older versions, and I’m sure there’s a good reason for it.
xTool has some “undocumented features”, for example: Their firmware seems to have different acceleration speeds for engraving and marking/cutting, and they use some “magic heuristic” to decide which one to use.
I’m always learning new things!
Thank you very much for the clarification and I apologize for the “misinformation.”
