I am working on a production project where I need to engrave a part number on some frames. The section of the frame that needs to be engraved has a raised edge to the left of it so I would like to engrave the part number then lower the Z axis to clear the raised part of the frame then raise the Z axis again to engrave another row of frames.
Is there any settings that would allow this?
In general, no, because LightBurn is essentially a 2D program with just enough Z control for focus adjustments.
In particular, Ruida controllers do not allow any detailed pre- or post-job position control, because they do not use G-Code commands.
You may be able to use a longer focal length lens to get enough standoff distance, but that’s about as fancy as it’ll get.
