Convert to path

Hi guys ,

so ive just imported a pdf file of a project I have going on . now I need to convert one section to path to delete a section . but everytime I highlight > edit> convert to path button is un-highlighted so I cannot press it

any ideas ?

It is probably already a set of vectors so you do not need to convert it to a path. Just select it then ungroup it so you can edit the individual vectors as needed.

Another aspect of this problem is that the PDF might not be in vector format. I’ve had to vectorize a PDF last week which was of a raster image.

If you just imported it you might need to ungroup it first. Check that the selection pattern is just dashes. If it’s dots & dashes, it’s a group.
