Converting files with Inkscape

I’ve read several posts which seem to indicate that svg files work best when importing to Lightburn. I recently downloaded a design in dfx format. Is it advisable to convert these to svg via Inkscape?

Thanks!

Dale

There are certain downsides to using DXF. The one issue that comes to mind is concerned with colour mapping. DXF only has a defined set of colours that it can use and unfortunately some of these don’t map very well to LB’s colours. If your file is already in DXF then I wouldn’t expect any advantage to converting it to SVG but you could always do a test.

Thank you!
