Engraved then cut from.8mm copper sheet with my 60w JPT Mopa Fiber machine using a 110mm lens.
This is very nice. Looking to do some brass engraving later this week myself! I’d love to know what settings you used (power, speed, htz, etc). How long did it take and what are you going to do with your medal?
Thank you for sharing. Seeing projects is very inspiring.
I’ve found copper takes longer to do then brass. The dark background engraving on this piece was done with 700 mm/s, 95% power, 45kz, 195 Q, .015 line spacing and 35 cross hatched 34 degree autorotated passes. The cut was done using an offset fill in the .03 offset outline of the shape which was grouped with the shape itself. The offset fill was 400 mm/s, 95% power, 45kz, 190 Q with a .005 line space set to 40 passes but it went through cleanly after about 30. It all took around a half hour. It was given to a musician friend to put on a key ring
Thank you!
