I can’t copy/paste from Word (Office 365, Win 11) into Notes in Lightburn, although I can copy/paste from other sources. Is there a fix?
Thanks for the tip. Did you have problem with copy/paste in Word as well? Would like to figure out if it is my problem or a universal one.
BTW, I am able to copy/paste from Word into Lightburn main page, but not into Notes section. So is the problem with Word or Lightburn?
Yes, but is the copy source Word or Libre Office? Would like to be able to use Word because many of my files are in this format… I appreciate your feedback.
Try using the Paste as plain text option in Word.
Libre Office
You can easily open all MS office documents from the entire MS Office package, including databases and spreadsheets in Libre Office. And you can save in any format you want, including MS Office’s file system.
You could try running it just for fun parallel to your MS Office and see how quickly you get used to it.

Yes, that was 1st thing I tried: does not work. Am wondering if ANYONE is able to paste from Word into Lightburn Notes directly, at least I would know if it is an isolated problem or universal. I can use Notepad as intermediary and it works, but it is an extra step. Thanks for your response.
I successfully copied content from Microsoft Word and pasted it into LightBurn notes while using Windows 11 Home edition.

Yeah, I’m not a Windows expert by any stretch, but from what I’ve seen on this and other forums, many issues seem to be Windows-related, especially after an update.

Sort of mind boggling: I can copy & paste from Word to any other app except LB Notes, and I can copy & paste from any other app in to LB Notes, but Word will not C/P into Notes! Crazy. Complexity solves some problems, creates others. I appreciate your feedback.
You are most likely using some formatting in Word that Lightburn does not like. I say that, because you were able to use Notepad as an intermediary. I also use either Notepad or Notepad++ to strip formatting out of web page data before I paste it where I want it.
I did a Word 2010 copy paste to LB Notes and it worked fine. My Word Normal is Ariel 12pt text.
Arial is a pretty standard font if there isn’t added formatting to it. I was more thinking that other formatting characters might be used in Word for aligning paragraphs, spacing etc that LB doesn’t like.
Thanks fellow Lightburners. I attempted to remove all formatting of text in Word, in fact I discovered an icon/tool on the Home ribbon which I didn’t know about which is supposed to do this (Letter A with small eraser next to it) - still doesn’t work. Interesting, I tried the copy/paste from Word to LB Notes on my PC, set up exactly (?) as my laptop, and it WORKS. There must be something else going on, like a conflict with an add-in. Perhaps the cure is worse than the illness? 1st time using the Forum, terrific resource, thanks all!
