Corel Macro installation not working

Hi, I would like to use the LightBurn Corel Macro, unfortunately the installation doesn’t quite work.

My setup:

  • Terra PC Windows 7 Professional i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz; 4GB RAM; 64 Bit
  • Corel Draw X3
  • LightBurn 1.6.03

What I have done so far:

  • I’ve read the installation PDF that I found in LightBurn under Help
  • I’ve read through various forum posts trying to find a solution to my problem
  • I followed the instruction from the PDF, copied the ExportToLightBurn.gms file from my LightBurn folder over to my folder at Corel > CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13 > Draw > GMS
  • In Corel X3 I don’t find Macros under Tools > Macros, but I believe it has to be Extras > Visual Basic > Visual Basic Editor
  • In the Visual Basic Editor there is no option to add a marco and in the list, there is nothing related to LightBurn

  • I also went into Extras > Options > Customization > Commands > Macros but couldn’t find anything either. Which makes sense in my opinion, because the macro wasn’t installed yet.

I need a way to install the macro in Corel X3.

Is the Visual Basic Editor the right place to insert the Macro and if so, where and how can I install it there?

Any help is much appreciated!

If I can deliver any other screenshots or information, please let me know.

Thanks,
Johannes

Is your directory for GMS files:

C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Draw\GMS

or

C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3\Draw\GMS

If you placed the ExportToLightburn.gms file in the correct directory, you should be able to see it in your GMS list.

It’s the first one.

I have CorelDraw 2019, and you run a script (GMS file) this way

Thanks @RalphU, I don’t have such a menu.

I only have this:

which leads to the window from my screenshot in the first post.
Therefore the instruction on how to install the macro seem not to apply for my version of Corel Draw.

Can you navigate to:

Tools>Macros>Run Macro

Unfortunately no, because this doesn’t exist in my menu.

“Extras” would be “Tools”

There is nothing about Macros here unfortunately.
Do I have to activate another menu item?

Try selecting Abspielen

I went trough a translator.
