Scratch that last post. It turns out that I have to turn off the power to the laser cutter AND unplug the USB lead for the smoothieboard to power off, and therefore to reboot and load the config.
laser_module_min_power has the expected result.. unfortunately it will mess up everybody’s cut settings!
I have a controller that does this. The USB supplies power to the cpu, so if you want to reset it, you have to disconnect the usb.
