Creality CV-01 is not connected to my Mac book pro
Hello Jon
What other devices are listed on the drop down menu, in front of Devices button?
Select this one please
And take snap, see what it detects it as
I guess estimating here, but I am unsure if that is the creality
If you unplug it, that device disappears?
Also your MacBook Pro is a M1/2/3 chip?
My Mac is a 2017 year
To answer your question about if I unplugged the engraver it disappears from the list
Could it possibly be a issue with the version of light Burn
I see you are on 1.3.01
That version has a known issue with coms with Mac
Close and then reopen Lightburn, making sure you power on your machine FIRST.
This is the workaround on that version
1.6 should have this fully fixed if you have the ability to upgrade.
What other versions of light burn is known to be working well on a Mac? License expired in December and it has not been renewed yet
Do I need to have it plugged into my computer before I open light burn?
Any version above 1.5.x
but to confirm that i have the problem correctly identified do this please.
Power on your Creality, plug usb cable
Make sure machine is detected by MacOS
Then Close lightburn fully and Reopen it.
It should then be able to connect
The issue comes if the machine powers off, then back on. Lightburn wont be able to connect Unless closed and reopened
