Creality Falcon 10w laser running backwards

was working fine one day then everything running backwards
when start up it goes to upper right corner not lower left sceen size is 300 x 300 mm
but goes to about -640mm not 0 x 0 need help

Did anything change between it working fine and it running backwards?

Any change in hardware or software? Any configuration changes? Any maintenance done to the machine? Something like this would normally require a hardware change or machine configuration change. If you recently unplugged anything make sure you check orientation of plugs and put them in the right way round.

If you’re absolutely certain that nothing was changed then run these commands in Console and return results:

Can you also please include a screenshot of Edit->Device Settings.

I did unplug everything to move it

  1. Can you confirm if you’ve made any changes to these GRBL settings? Some seem off but I want to make sure before changing anything.
  2. Can you test jogging controls in Move window. Do they work as you expect? Left moves left, right moves right, up goes up, down goes down?
  3. Confirm that your machine should home bottom left but is right now homing top-right. Does it crash?
  4. Is homing machine smooth or jumpy?
  5. Do you hear any buzzing or straining noises during homing?

GRBL no change
for jogging on Lightburn right goes right but on laser right goes left same with Y
Homing is set for lower left but it keep going to upper right and its like as I have a 600 x 600 mm when i only have 300 x 300

Can you elaborate? What does “on laser” mean here?

And are you saying Y also goes left or something else?

Please try to be as precise as possible on this.

Can you also answer questions 4 and 5?

X and Y runs backwards on my machine ( Ender-3 S1 Plus 3D Printer: Large 300300300 Build Size, 4.3 Touch Screen with a Creality Falcon 10w laser on it ) but in LB it runs right
#4 its smooth till it try to go farther then my table
#5 no noise

I want to make sure I understand. You’re saying if you use the touch screen display on the laser itself that the controls are backwards? But in LightBurn the jogging controls work in the correct direction?

Is this new behavior or it always behaved this way?

When you unplugged everything to what extent did you unplug things? I’d suggest reviewing all cables related to the stepper motors. I suspect you inserted a cable backwards.

From reviewing your GRBL configuration they look stock when I compare it to another Falcon machine.

Since both X and Y are inverted I suspect it’s the cable on the controller that might be inverted, especially if it’s a consolidated cable.

i thought the same thing this is not like my CNC where I can setup each stepping motor.
this thing is plug and play really Work fine when using the 3D setup Might have to pull the cover off this box and see if i can switch wires around .

The only good thing is I can still use the laser lol
