@BobW55 - Figured it out! I was turning the machine off and powering on to initiate the update. This was not the correct method. Instead, powered on the machine, then inserted the drive and it picked it up!
Glad you got things sorted out.
Still didn’t help my issuse with LB.
Has there been any new info from Lightburn in regards to the Falcon A1 Pro?
While USB connection works, lack of the camera support sucks. Please let me know if you need something tested.
yes. Progress has been made. I’m sending you a DM with a Pre-Release version that supports WiFi Cameras.
We also have our own A1 Pro arriving soon to run some tests on it.
This is awesome news. I will await your DM.
Aaron, Would you be willing to provide me with the Pre-Release version as well?
DL, Test release with no issues.
Found my Falcon A1 Pro camera right away, clean image. (Connected via USB to Falcon)
Going through the calibration. Did not like the polka dot pattern, etching the lighburn pattern as I type this to calibrate the camera. I can not get past the calibration page. The capture never lights up.
Updated to the Beta 6
Managed to get it calibrated. Had to use MANUAL calibration.
Now have a camera that will lay my target image on my work space.
(Doing a small happy dance here)
Strange how the A1 Pro connects to my home network (192.168.X.X) , but uses a 192.168.10.X for the camera.
Now if I could just connect via wifi and cut the USB cable.
Would also love to get a hand on the pre-release version to use the camera on my Falcon ![]()

Joining the private beta usually requires training in the art of bug reporting ![]()
Bob didn’t give up, so I made an exception.
I’ll ask the team how we want to handle this.
It’s not that we have anything to hide, but the private beta is under heavy development, will still change, and not everything is fully documented.
Thanks Aaron!
I would be delighted if I could get the beta version, but if not, that’s no problem either; I can wait. I don’t have much time for testing and am currently using the software that came with the cutter when I need precise placement. However, this does not support kerf and lead-in ![]()
