I cannot figure out how to apply (or create) a layer mask. I have attached a screen shot to better explain what I am attempting to do. I wish to superimpose the partial image of the flag onto a picture frame that I am trying to create. I have been trying to do this for 2 days and figure it time to ask someone who knows the correct procedure.
If the flag is exclusively made up of closed shapes then try this.
- group the entirety of the flag
- group the inside and outside border for the frame
- select both the flag and border shapes
- Tools->Boolean intersection
Genius. However, the flag must completely cover the frame or the boolean intersection cuts off anything outside the flag’s perimeter. Not a problem. I thank You again! That is why you are the community leader.
