Crosshatch broken -- speed stays FAST after travel / hopping

Hi! I’ve got a few weird problems showing up with crosshatch. The attached shape definitely does it, and I think it can be reproduced as follows:

  • create a large circle, set it to fill, cross hatch
  • create a smaller circle inside that, same layer + cut

intended behavior: the space between the circles (a ring) will be filled with this cross-hatch pattern
actual behavior: the laser will start a line, burn at the correct speed+power, then travel over the open space at higher speed, and will resume power but speed stays too high; the space AFTER a travel is not correctly burnt.

everything else appears to be working as expected. This cross-hatch problem / fill problem has been present since day 1, so i assume I’m doing something wrong — but I can’t figure out what.

Machine is a vanilla Xtool D1.

note that this problem goes away if I disable ‘Fast Whitespace Scan’ in edit → device settings.

found another firmware update, problem solved. /shrug
