Current position not acting as expected

I have an Omtech 100w 2028 and when sending a job from my Mac using current position it does not start at the current position, it goes to the previously set origin and starts from there. If I frame it from the machine, it goes to the previous origin to frame.

If I frame it from within Lightburn, it frames in the correct position. Then I send the job and start from the machine and it goes to previous origin.

If I start the job with Lightburn’s start button, it works correctly. After using the start button, the sent job will start and engrave at the current position. If I relocate the laser head and try to frame it again, it goes to the previous position.

It’s like the start button sets a new origin position, but current doesn’t work.

I just tested it from a Windows 10 PC and the behavior is the same.

When I notice this I click the origin button on the Ruida controller after setting location. It’s become a habit to just press it regardless.

That works, but it kind of defeats the purpose of current position.

I agree. I just hate setting things up twice.
