I have been called a lot of things but never a sock puppet. I see this kinda attitude on line. For some reason never in person. That is the down side of online forums. Some people show no respect. The people here have helped me several times with the learning curve. All soft ware have the positives and negatives. No need to be hostile. Use what works for you.Lord knows windows itself has enough bugs.

That´s how physics work don´t blame the software.

If I want to fry an egg, I don’t use a blowtorch, but I can do it, but the manufacturer doesn’t say it’s for cooking. “LightBurn is laser control software” with additional features (the best).
Lightburn is so simple to use that I’ve even annotated a picture with it so that I could explain/help another user. Why not?
I also like the plane but I belong to this world and I don’t like my feet being bitten unnecessarily.

Most people are using LB only as a laser controller and doing their design work with other software but they are not boasting mastery over it. I’ve been computing/programming since 1983, I pick up new software extremely quickly and I push it to it’s boundaries and limitations well in excess of the casual user. There were times I was laughing along the way how badly it was losing it, realizing I was pushing it too hard, it’s memory core functions have their limitations so it’s good to know when you have to break down the design element into smaller pieces so it can handle it.

I have never seen lightburn advertised as or claim to be full blown 3D cad software. If that is what you are hoping for, it ain’t going to happen.
I retired 6 years ago from aerospace design engineering and for some reason, in all the years I was in there, lightburn never came up once.
As you said, you learn software very fast. So go out and get a catia licence and take 15 or 20 min. to learn it. Fusion, autocad variants and all the others that claim FULL 3D capability’s, are not.

Going to out and borrow @parsec blow torch and make myself a nice salad for supper.

Ugliness going on, was not my original intention at all, but we had a cascading effect because I refuse to believe someones BS, it’s not my problem it went that way, it just shows the true face of this group and I’m certainly not impressed. If you actually used the software in full, you would have picked up some tips from what I originally posted, but you don’t, so no, you are not going to learn anything…

Weather or not this was your intention Brian does not change the outcome here. The discourse you’re giving here on the forum is corrosive and a net negative.

We’ve tried, many times, to assist you. Even our lead developer has chimed in:

You’ve been complaining from the start that the devs are not interested in addressing your issues. I’m the lead dev, I’m here offering to help, and now suddenly it’s you who’s uninterested. Go figure. Again, LightBurn was never intended as a CAD package, and I’d be the first to admit that attempting to use it as such would be frustrating. That aside, if it’s bogging down with simple files I’d like to figure out why.

We welcome constructive criticism, especially from those willing to work with us while we fix issues. The sort of baseless accusations that have been spewed here in this thread are absolutely against the core ethos of this forum, and for that we’re issuing you an official warning and a temporary suspension.

We welcome your return, provided you can do so with enough social grace to not offend everyone whom reads your messages. Do better.
