Custom GCODE before (and after) each layer

Hi guys - is it possible that we could add an option to attach custom gcode to the beginning and end of each layer?

Continuing on from my live update customer portal, I know that there is no way that lightburn can discern when exactly a layer is beginning or completing on the laser, however the laser (grbl) knows when its actually executing a line of gcode.

So I saved a simple square out to gcode, and found the following :-

the fact that the gcode generates ‘; Layer C00’ etc, is it possible to add a field somewhere, that can attach a custom GCODE command in here too.

For example G910910 (arbitrary GCODE command) that I’ll have GRBL on the controller process, such that it can take a live photo and upload it to the customer’s portal whenever this custom GCODE command is processed. This would be amazing.

There is a Feature Suggestions link on the top Lightburn title bar, next to search.

Go there an put in your suggestion. That allows users to vote on your proposal.

If they get enough votes they usually implement the suggestion.

It might help if you put in why you want this…
