Cut in real time

I want to see in the software the progress of burning/cutting in real time (not the time but actually the cutting) is there such an option?

Are you saying you want to see the location of the beam as it relates to the object being produced in sort of a tracking process?

That function doesn’t exist to my knowledge and I doubt you would get it even it you posed it in the feature request area. LightBurn folks have held to their guns about not providing a feature that could possibly allow the end user to not stay close by the potential fire starting capabilities of the laser machine.

Think of how nice it would be to sit in another room and watch the tracker move across the screen whilst a possible raging fire is taking place in the workshop. That comfortable feeling of an air conditioned room could sadly go south in a hurry.

Yes, I admit it would be nice too, but not at the expense of loss.
Cheers!

Well, my intention was not to go and relax in another air-conditioned room (I have an anti-theft camera anyway), the point is that sometimes there are needs to stop the machine while it is in operation, to change something in the settings or any other matter. thanks anyway…

Ahhh…
Stopping and restarting…
Well, once you stop and make changes to the settings, you can use the “Start from here” routine (of course after resending the changed file).

where is the function “start from here” is?

It’s in the ‘Preview’ window. Move the slider to where you want to re-start the job from then press ‘Start here’

well this is the problem. you are talking about the preview in the softwere whan i am talking about the machin actualy

I don’t understand what you mean.

The ‘start here’ button will run the machine from the position shown in the preview window as per the doc’s

The Start Here button will you allow you to start a program on the laser part way through, from wherever the preview time slider is currently set.

Is this not what you want ?

I concur with avishory. This feature (dare I say it) is available in LaserGRBL, and I think it is really useful . It provides more data about what is happening and more data means more safety. I don’t think it will encourage people to sit in another room and watch the tracker move across the screen If someone wanted to leave the laser unattended during operation, not having this requested feature is not going to prevent that.
