I want to cut an element into several parts because it is over 2 meters long.
I can make the first cut, but not the second. The selection in the menu is grayed out.
Unfortunately, I can’t share the dovetail connector at the same time.
What am I doing wrong?
I don’t want to work with “Print & Cut” because the part as a whole is too heavy and I can’t position it cleanly.

Make sure you’re selecting the square second. With Cut Shapes, the second selected shape is the “Cutting Shape”. Since you want to cut your design with the square, you need to select the design first, then the square, and repeat that selection order for each piece you want to cut the design into.
The Cutting Shape also needs to be a “closed” shape, which would explain why, in this case, it’s grayed out if you selected in the incorrect order.
I would add that it is easier to group the elements together (instead of choosing one by one), you can share the dovetail connector at the same time.

It was a little complicated because I couldn’t close the shape, but once I knew what the problem was, I simply copied the entire sheet several times and took one segment from each element.
