Agreed. I was just expanding on the need for better precision in measuring if we’re going to explore typical beam width and kerf values.

I almost never use micrometers at home. Although I do use nicer calipers than most would consider necessary for this hobby.

I’ve been making a lot of these little boxes lately, it’s probably Christmas that’s the reason.

The material is 3.2mm BB/B plywood and I have drawn the box according to this measurement. My kerf is set to 0.075mm in LightBurn. When I assemble the box, I carefully sand the edges, I just break them and assemble the box with a small hammer. No glue and the small brass nails are only 4mm long and only for decoration, (and only on the front side).

Love the brass nails and the small tab to open.
