Cutting 1/2” foam into circles

cutting 1/2” foam sheet into 1” circles. Start point and end point don’t quite meet up. Can I make laser go slightly past the start point so it cuts complete circle and cut pieces will cleanly fall out of scrap sheet. John

The overcut setting in the Advanced tab of the Cut Settings for the layer will allow you to cut past the original starting point on closed shapes.

Having said that, this may require experimentation. From what I’ve seen of foam it’s not necessarily an undercut that’s responsible for parts not falling out.

While you’re at it, you may want to also look at “Start pause time” and “End pause time” settings in the same Advanced tab.

What type of foam are you cutting?

I’m cutting 1/2” thick open cell foam sheets.

Urethane, expanded polystyrene, urea formaldehyde, etc…

I think Urethane. I found the setting you referred to and will try it. Thank very much
