I have a J-Tech 44w diod laser, and i wonder about the cutting setings
for a 5 mm acrylic
Kristian
For cutting 5mm acrylic with your J-Tech 44w diode laser, start with a power setting around 80-100% and a speed of about 5-10 mm/s. You need to do a few test cuts to dial it in perfectly, but this should give you a solid starting point.
Thx Laura
I will try that settings later on this week.

Because it is a visible blue light laser, it can cut opaque black acrylic well and perhaps red-orange acrylic somewhat. It will not cut transparent / white / green / blue acrylic, because most of the energy is reflected, rather than absorbed.
Note that all of the “acrylic” samples in the description are black.
