Hi there, I would like to cut out an image after doing the etching. It is circular in shape but the edge is like a gear with notches in it. I have tried to trace the image for just the outside, but it wants to trace everything in the image.
How can I just trace the outside without having to create another image???
I am fairly new to this as well, but it sounds like you have everything on 1 layer.Put all your etchings on 1 or more layers each with its own speed and power settings. Your cut line should be the LAST or bottom layer in the list. Use whatever speed and power settings recommended by by the laser mfg, for the thickness and type of material. Hope this helps.
