Cutting Carbon Fibre?

I doubt that it would work, but I don’t want to pay someone to machine parts if I could do it myself, so:

Does anybody know if it would be possible to cut 4mm thick carbon Fibre sheets with an 80w Co2?

Thank you for any input.

I did some 1/8" fibreglass sheet, was not satisfactory. Burned resin edges, messy cut. I expect CF would be worse.
