Cutting in the program does not comply - Fiber 30W

I enter the cut value, for example 100%, but the machine does not obey and cuts with another value.

This is an interesting technical riddle.

After going through the settings for half a dozen different fiber galvo laser engravers I noticed they have a frequency response curve which does not produce 100% of the requested power throughout the whole range of available frequencies.

If you are willing to share some information about the supplier of your Fiber Laser;

  • the model number on the back
  • a link to the users manual and
  • the settings calling for 100% power

we may be able to determine if the frequency response is causing what you’re seeing.

Have you tried 99% instead of 100% and see if it still changes the value. It might be the 2 digit vs 3 digit value . I have seen this on other Chinese based software NOT that this is Lightburn issue maybe something from the manufacturer in their controller.

Cheers

Good morning, thank you for your feedback, unfortunately the problem doesn’t seem to be 100%, the situation is that I put an example of 20% which isn’t meant to mark anything, I set it to cut and it actually makes the cut at 20% then I change it to 100% and I send the cut and the laser shows 20%, I have to go into the box several times and change it to 100% or 90% only after changing it several times does it respond to 100% or 90%. So in this situation I don’t know what value is coming out of the laser.

Good Morning, Emerson
As mentioned above, need model number and other info listed, also, screenshot of this screen here. Device Settings > Ports and laser settings.
