Cutting leather, corners not completed

I am using a Ray5 10 watt diode laser to cut out my leather, but I am finding that in rounded corners I frequently need to use a hand knife afterwards, as there are one or two spots where the laser did not cut completely (or cleanly). Thoughts, suggestions on how to get those corners cut completely?

a thought….on the MIN power setting in LB is it lower than Max ?

if yes, bump it up so when the travel slow down around the corners it does not reduce the power too much…..

but watch for burning !

That’s only for DSP controllers; GRBL does it automagically.

GRBL reduces the power as it slows down at corners, but rounded corners shouldn’t require much slowing down.

The Troubleshooting guide has a few suggestions:

However, those spots could be variations in the leather, in which case just crank on Moah Powah to ensure complete cutting.

When cutting anything, I use Constant power. Only when engraving do I enable Variable power.
