I cut a cutting test card but when cutting the same material my machine does not cut through using the settings from the card. Any idea why?
Material Batch, Humidity, air assist, wood glue, surface finish and surface treatment all impact the ability to engrave or cut with a laser.
The Material test is a very important step to making certain the engraving behavior is known.
Setting the incorrect units for speed mm/s (instead of mm/minute) will make your engraver perform very poorly.
Having the S Value max not equal to the machine setting for $30 can be a problem.
In the Console window in Lightburn please request the following reports by typing:
$i
$$
?
pressing enter after each command.
