Cutting may be out of bounds

Why does he take the entire red part instead of just the logo? I get the message cutting is possibly out of bounce. I can turn off the notification but the laser stops immediately.

It’s this way with all files.

It is due to the selected speed. Acceleration and braking takes so much time/length of movement.
Try playing a bit with the speed and see how long the different speeds spend for start-stop/acceleration/deceleration, you will be surprised.

Ther red shows the overscan space required. Your info says you’re using a GRBL Device. What is your overscan setting? Double click the layer to bring up the extended dialog. On a diode laser the default is 2.5%.

Red is overscan as @thelmuth mentioned, but is directly related to what @bernd.dk stated.

Slow the scanning rate down (speed) and this red area will be smaller.

What kind of speeds are you using?

Its a comgrow 10w laser. My laptop broke and i needed to setup a new laptop but i keep getting new errors. on my old laptop i used 5500/65 speed/power for engraving. These settings i use now on the new laptop

Please post a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon). Double click on the layer to bring up the cut settings editor and post a screenshot of that as well.

i found the problem. The speed whas set to mm/sec instead of mm/min what i used. it works now thank you all
