That lamp looks absolutely amazing!!!
Sorry I am leaving 100 replies, lol… but replying as I see parts of the response I have missed.
Most definately. I am excited to learn more about this journey.
I started off with aluminium business cards, and there I also faced some issues. I have a 1.6W laser and it engraves with great detail, the issue there is the speed. So from some research, people were commenting that one should use the 40W laser for laser “production” batches… I tested this, but the quality and detail was seriously lacking. Eventually started raising my work area, but that takes my work piece off of my Honey comb and I’m not sure if that is the correct approach. See my 40W laser can not be adjusted in height, it is meant to auto focus… I have the Creality Falcon2 Pro S - apparently the S model is meant to be an upgrade… I’m second guessing this now with not being able to adjust laser height…
Anyways, that aside. Once I got the business cards working, I decided to try the lamp. The lamp design Ihave chosen is actually because I want to use it as a flower pot
. So we will see how that all comes along.
I want try as mouch as possible, I have the rotary as well, so can’t wait to try engraving on the likes of flasks or rings etc.
So maybe I will be making a bunch more posts over the next for months.
Again THANKS a million, and also thank you to everyone lse who has also been friendly in their comments, guidance and assistance. A positive and friendly community really goes a long way in making this even more exciting.
Sorry last comment, when opening your file I see you are on Lightburn v2.1 as it told me I may lose some data - being on LighttBurn 2.0.5 - 2.0.5 is the only version available on the website, or am I missing something?
I am on a release candidate version or a beta version… I have not experienced losing data because of it. I use data from the RC version on an “old” linux 1.7.08 version and vice versa without any problems. ![]()
Sorry but I don’t know your machine…, does that mean there is no option to turn off autofocus?
…I hope you’ve scrolled down a bit, the really nice lamps are further down ![]()
