Fan should only come on when the laser is powered. I assume the M28 is always going to be inserted to home because by my guess; you’re using the built in XTool device settings?
If you’re using absolute coordinates, it’ll always home before it runs anything, because the machine has to know where it is. User origin and current location do not have that problem.
I’m thinking there might not be an issue, just a misunderstanding on how to use the machine.
Absolute positioning should be used when you have a form of repeatable location and using a coordinate system to define your work origin.
Using the red cross to line up your work, you either use “current position” or “User Origin” after setting the work origin.
As far as camera alignment, I’ve never played with adding a camera to my XTool, so I can’t help there.
On lightburn when you go to laser tools there are two programs to run to set up the camera. The second program needs to run absolute coordinates to make a pattern on the paper to locate the camera on the grid. I think that I should reload lightburn if that is possible because something is wrong in the system. I’m almost positive that it is something that I did somewhere along the time that I was setting up the system.I downloaded latest tool software last night and lightburn’s latest update as well. I bought the best camera that I could find. It’s even called the lightburn camera.
I want to thank everyone for their help and input on this problem I was having. I did everything that was suggested and it worked perfectly in creative space and in lightburn without the camera. All in absolute coordinates. It would not work with the camera in wireless mode. I reinstalled the laser in lightburn and it worked. I had very little hope thinking that this could be fixed but again I want to thank all involved in helping me get this done.
