D1 Pro Won't Drive With New V2.1.00, 01 Updates

I have downloaded V2.1.00 & V2.1.01 and my X TOOL D1 Pro lasers won’t drive home or drive to preset locations I have setup in the Move menu. I’ve been using Lightburn for years and have never had any problems with updates in the past. I have gone back to version V2.0.05 and everything works great. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Hello , i have a similar failure with an XTool D1 Pro extended 430x936 ,
Works perfectly with the 2.0.05 but freezing with the 2.0.1
My laser is found as an xtool pro d1 on the right com port, the frame-test is working correctly, but when i want to " laser cut " nothing happens ; LightBurn 2.1.01 is freezing. I have to stop the sofware with windows… a patch is needed for this trouble.

Please read before posting. This has been posted 20 times within the last week. There is a patch coming out, this was also stated days ago: Update 2.1.01 messed up my XTool S1 - #3 by LightBurn

That’s what I wrote. The patch IS coming. Just read.

And freezing software is a matter of your setup; it’s not the software’s fault, since it’s running everywhere else.

So, there is no problem in the best possible world, as it’s already said we, xtools owners , have only to wait or discard the new version from our computer. Sorry, the more and harder we say , the best we are heard .

Just go over to the xTool forums and tell them there. It’s not LB’s issue if they constantly change protocols. Once you have a working setup, NEVER update again. Neither LB nor the laser.

[be aware - harsh version  ] It’s very simple: xTool users should just use XCS. If they are keen to work with LB, they should buy another laser and not spam the LB forum.

i remind you that i am a regular customer of lightburn sofware, that means i have bought a licence nearly 100 € for the use of the software and the upgrade version.
I regret for the wasted time with the newest version so i thinck i am rightfull and legitimate on the LB forum, whatever you thinck unless you are paid for a watchdog service.

Yes, but LB NEVER stated that it supports xTool devices. It’s xTool that (sometimes) mentions LB in their advertisements (because it brings more customers). Support for xTool devices is always at goodwill from the LB side. And xTool do their best to disable LB functionality. So no - you have no rights whatsoever to be disappointed that it doesn’t work. It’s like asking to get a Windows App running on an Apple PC. You might be lucky that you can make it work, but don’t be upset if people tell you that it’s not meant that way.

Of course, I’d never say that you can’t ask for help in this forum. But if you had read through the forum before, you could have known that there are issues, so if you spent more than 20 minutes on this, you can’t blame the wasted time on anyone else.

Thanck you for your help
Amen

The 2.1.02 patch has been released, and addresses the issue with XTool D1/Pro devices not properly reporting their positions or moving.

Thank You for your help, Oz. I’ll comment in this thread with the results after I can download and test it.

And they get away with saying it because somehow @LightBurn manages to get it working anyhow after a lot of grief. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:
