Dark and Bright pictures in lightburn question

I just did an order of 4 coasters where all the pictures were during the daytime. My new client gave me two photos that are darker, including one which is at night with christmas lights in the background.

My normal settings are just burning the entire image white. I am using a commarker B4 20 watt 160 speed 0.5 power and 20 frequency. I don’t really want to attach the image since it’s a family and the internet is forever, but the image is 70% blackish.

Should I ask for brighter pictures or do i need to adjust the image before going to lightburn?

Option 3 - you can adjust the image in LightBurn. It may take some trial and error to dial in effective adjustments for these images, but you’ll be able to adjust brightness (and other values) using the Image Adjustment tool. When you’ve found adjustments you’re satisfied with, you can save them as presets.

The Laser Everything photo video is very good and covers this along with the proper dpi/lpi for any laser with any material.

It’s a very good video, if you haven’t watched it… it’s worth it.

You doing slate?

:smile_cat:

Idk what I did but I simply applied a preset and it worked.
