I would like to make a circle, and inside cut out first names, but I can’t do it. I can make the first names, put a border around the first names, but I can’t attach the first names to the circle. Could someone give me the procedure to follow. Thanks in advance
It would be most helpful if you uploaded the file you are working with, or at least a picture of what exactly you are trying to achieve.

Select the red offset around the letters, then shift and select the inner circle. Bring up Boolean Assistant (Ctrl+B) and choose intersection. That should provide the results you’re looking for.
