Got in touch with my “inner elf” this year. Since most of our grandkids now have cell phones, I thought it’d be cool to create something that they could use with them!
I found several DIY electronic kits on Amazon. They’re an empty circuit board and a bag of parts. You have to solder them together. I started with an FM radio/Bluetooth speaker kit, and decided to add a digital clock. I then added an LED light bar and a wireless cell phone charger mounted to the under side of the top. Just set a phone on it, and it charges!
I love to start with an idea and run with it. These turned out more awesome than I thought they would. The kids loved receiving them.
The best part about making these is being able to customize the graphics for each person baed on their interests. It adds a lot of special meaning to them.
